-Crystals are said to store and transmit energies. These energies that may have come from someone else, it is not certain that you want. You can therefore "zero" your crystal, so it is said to contain only its own basic vibrating energies.
- To remove negative energies that your crystal has attracted, you should also cleanse it at regular intervals. Note that some crystals are more fragile than others, the same method of purification does not work for all types of crystals.

Cleaning & Charging:
Start by cleansing your crystal to remove any negative energy it may have accumulated.

Here are 5 different ways to clean your crystal:
1. Water
One of the easiest ways to clean your crystals is to hold them under cold running water for a few minutes. You can use regular tap water or a natural water source.
Keep in mind that not all crystals are waterproof and can break or dissolve in contact with water. See list below.

2. Incense
Cleansing crystals using incense is the best method to use as this is a method that all crystals can withstand. You hold your crystal and sweep the incense around it and do this until you "feel" the crystal is cleansed. Incense that is for cleansing energies that are our favorites are Palo Santo or Salvia.

3. Sunlight
Sunlight cleanses and charges your crystal with new energy. Place your crystal in the sunlight on your windowsill. The sunlight is stressful for some crystals and can cause the color to fade or they can crack if they get too hot. Therefore, we recommend a maximum of approx. 5 minutes in sunlight.
You can cleanse your crystals in water and then leave them in the sunlight for a few minutes to dry and recharge.

4. Moonlight
Cleansing your crystals by moonlight is a safe method without harming the crystal. You can put them outside in the moonlight or in a window. Take the opportunity to cleanse your crystal when there is a full moon, it is the most powerful energy that you can charge your crystals with. You can also charge your crystals in the new moon, its energies represent new beginnings.

5. Crystal cluster
Place your crystal on a larger cluster of quartz such as Amethyst, Citrine, Clear Quartz, Smokey Quartz or a slab of Selenite. Leave your crystal(s) there for a couple of days to be cleansed and charged with new energy. You can also always have a cleansing crystal lying around among your crystals to recharge them.

Usage: Carry your crystal with you in your bag, in your bra, as a piece of jewelry or in your pocket. You can place your crystal in your home as decoration or to fill a room with energy, protection or a certain purpose that you programmed your crystal with. You can have different crystals around your home to remind you of your different purposes. Another option is to have your crystals in your workplace. Your crystals can also be used in meditation, they are wonderful to meditate with. You can hold your crystal in your hand, carry it on your body, or place it in front of you as you meditate. Feel the crystal, let your energy share in the energy that the crystal is said to have.

Programming: It is obviously not something you have to do, but if you want your crystal to work to achieve a particular purpose/desire, it is said to give a greater effect. Take a moment for yourself, take a few deep breaths. Land in the moment and begin your programming. Holding your crystal in both hands, think of your desire or goal that you want to program the crystal with. Repeat to yourself your purpose, seal your desire inside the crystal. You can do this by thinking or by grabbing the crystal and bringing it towards your heart. Then the crystal is programmed. Let it be a reminder of your desire and a driving force to reach your goal. Every time you carry it, look at it, feel within yourself your desire and let it bring you closer to your goals.

Crystals that cannot withstand water:
To determine whether your crystals can withstand water, it is the hardness of the crystal that is used. This can be found out using the Mohs Hardness Scale. The crystals that are 6 or higher on the Mohs Hardness scale are generally fine to clean in water, but there are exceptions and those listed below are water resistant even though some of them are 6 or higher:

3: Ruby Fuchsite, Chrysocolla, Honey Calcite, White Calcite, Howlite, Yellow Calcite and Pink Calcite
4: Orange Calcite, Red Calcite, Blue Calcite, Green Calcite, Angelite, Celestin, Howlite, Malachite - It contains copper and should not come into contact with water as a chemical reaction may occur. Rhodochrosite, Fluorite, Apophyllite, Peacock Copper, Malachite and Shungite (Can be purified in water)
5: Lapis Lazuli, Sodalite, Obsidian, White Opal, Pink Opal, Dalmatian, Blue Quartz, Hematite and Scolosite
6: Labradorite, Pyrite and Jade
7: Titanium quartz

Not all crystals can withstand water. The chains are made of stainless steel. Therefore, we recommend removing the jewelry when you shower, exercise, bathe or engage in other activities that involve heat.
